About the project
About AI Business Kit
AI Business Kit is a small, independent project with a narrow goal: give business owners a folder of practical files they can use the same day they download them. No subscription, no dashboard, no onboarding call.
Free download · Works with the assistants you already use
A folder you can open and use today.
Independent · Practical · Offline
We started AI Business Kit after watching the same scene repeat: an owner pays for an AI assistant, opens a blank chat box, and stalls. Not because the tool is weak, but because running a business leaves little time to learn phrasing that gets useful answers.
So we collected the files we were already using in real client work — reply drafts, quote sheets, proposal pages, and prompt wordings that hold up — and stripped them down to what a busy person can actually fill in. The result is plain documents and sheets you keep on your own computer. You open the Start Here guide, pick the job in front of you, copy a prompt or fill a template, and move on.
Why we built it
The tools arrived faster than the instructions for using them well.
Most owners we spoke with had an assistant open in a browser tab and no idea what to ask it. Meanwhile quotes, follow-ups, pricing, and onboarding notes stayed manual. The kit is our answer to that gap: prompts and templates that assume you're busy and not technical.
Each file starts from a real job — answering a difficult client email, pricing a service without guessing, sending a proposal that reads clearly. We rewrote the language until it worked for freelancers and small service teams, then left room for your judgment. The first draft comes from the file. The decision stays with you.
Who it's for
The kit is written for freelancers, solo consultants, and small service teams who do their own admin between jobs. It also fits operations leads in larger companies who need a process written down before they automate it.
Freelancers and consultants
Reply, quote, and follow up without writing from scratch. The templates carry the structure, you add the details only you know.
Small service teams
Share one way to answer, price, and propose. New helpers can follow the same pages instead of guessing your tone.
A clear boundary
If you already run a documented workflow and use automation platforms daily, you may find the material basic. We would rather be clear about that than oversell it. The kit is for people who want steady paperwork, not another system to manage.
How owners use it in practice
What we believe about AI at work
AI assistants are useful for drafting, summarizing, and restructuring text you already understand. They are unreliable when you need a decision made for you. That split shapes every file in the kit.
Use the prompts to get a solid first draft of a reply, proposal paragraph, or service description. Then check facts, prices, and promises yourself before anything goes to a client. That is also why we do not include a live agent that runs tasks on its own. A static folder cannot send the wrong email while you sleep.
-
The kit handles the first draft. Wording, outline, and follow-up steps are ready to adapt.
-
You handle the judgment. Rates, timelines, and commitments always need a human check.
How the kit was put together
No theory files. Each document started in client work and was trimmed until a small team could use it without training.
Tested in common assistants
Prompts were rewritten until they produced usable output in the most widely used AI assistants. We kept instructions plain, gave examples of good input, and noted where to paste your own details so the answer stays relevant.
Built around four pricing numbers
The pricing calculator is built around the four numbers that matter most: income target, billable hours, overhead, and tax. Fill those once, and the sheet helps you see what an hour or a project needs to carry. It will not set your market price — it shows the floor you should not go under.
Trimmed for small teams
Long agency playbooks were cut. What remains fits on a few pages: client replies for questions, requests, objections and feedback, proposal layouts that explain value in plain terms, and everyday prompts for marketing, sales, and client communication. If a page did not save time in a real week, it did not ship.
See how to start in three stepsWhat we don't do
We don't sell a software subscription, and we don't resell access to any AI platform. We don't offer custom implementation or consulting.
The kit is a static download, which means you maintain it and adapt it to your business. Rename the files, change the tone to match how you speak to clients, delete pages you will never use. If you want that kind of control — free and offline — this fits. If you want someone to set systems up for you, it won't.
Staying current
Business software changes, and so do the assistants that sit inside it. When a prompt or template stops producing useful output, we revise the file and update the kit.
Version notes are included in the Start Here document so you can tell which revision you have. If you spot something that no longer works, tell us through the contact page and we'll look at it. Reports about a specific file and the assistant you used help most.
Answers to common questionsWhere we're based
The project is run from 452 Tech Plaza, San Francisco, and we work with contributors remotely. There is no storefront and no sales office — the kitchen table is a laptop and a shared folder of drafts.
You can reach us at the contact page for download help, corrections, or feedback on a specific file. We read everything, though we can't promise a same-day reply on every message. For availability, our working hours are Mon–Fri: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

Is AI Business Kit right for my business?
If your week includes quoting, replying, invoicing explanations, or short proposals, likely yes. If you need hands-on setup or industry-specific compliance documents, this folder will not cover that — and we prefer to say so up front.
Do I need paid AI tools to use it?
No. The templates work on paper or in any text editor. The prompts work in free and paid assistants. We do not resell platform access and the kit runs fully offline once downloaded.
How do updates work?
When assistants change, we revise the affected files and refresh the kit. The Start Here guide lists the current revision, so you can check what you hold against the latest download.
Built for busy owners. Free to keep.
Take the folder, make it yours, and spend less of the week on routine paperwork. If a file helps, tell us which one — that is how the next revision gets better.
Questions about a file? See what's inside first, then write to us.
